The Ensembles
The Ojai Youth Symphony consists of three ensembles.
Ojai Strings
Ojai Strings is a string ensemble for elementary school students as young as age six.
Music reading is helpful but not necessary.
Students play mostly in unison and work on ensemble skills

Sinfonia is a full string orchestra for students in middle school. Students perform string arrangements of standard orchestral repertoire. Most students have studied privately for 3-5 years
The Ojai Youth Symphony is a full orchestra with winds, brass, strings and percussion for advanced high school students. Students play music from the standard orchestral repertoire.
An audition is required for this ensemble.
Rehearsals for all three ensembles take place every Monday throughout the school year at the
Nordhoff High School Music Building
1401 Maricopa Hwy., Ojai.
