The Ojai Youth Symphony is a non-profit organization dedicated to the musical education of talented young people. The goal of the Ojai Youth Symphony is to provide an opportunity for students to receive orchestral training and an enhanced appreciation of classical music.
Co-founded in 2001 by professional musicians Andy Radford and Amy Hagen, the Ojai Youth Symphony includes over 120 students in three different ensembles, with an age range from 6 to 20. Our members come from throughout Ventura County and include a diverse demographic of students from private schools, public school and homeschools.
The Ojai Youth Symphony rehearses every Monday evening throughout the school year and performs at least three regular concerts each season.
The true mission of the Ojai Youth Symphony is to instill and nurture a love of orchestral music in each of its members; an understanding and appreciation of classical music that will continue to grow throughout their lives.
